How it works

One road from sent to seen.

A provider signs up once and can refer to every specialist practice on the network. The practice works each referral in one queue. Both see the same status the whole way.

If you send referrals

Referring providers

  1. 1

    Sign up once

Your national provider number is checked against the registry automatically. Confirm your email and you can refer the same day.

  2. 2

    Find a practice

Search by name, city, specialty, insurance or distance. Each listing is marked Open or Approval required.

  3. 3

    Send it complete

Fill in the practice’s own form — patient details, insurance, reason, suggested urgency — and attach imaging and notes.

  4. 4

    Follow it through

Watch the status move, answer questions in the thread, and get notified at every step.

If you receive referrals

Specialist practices

  1. 1

    Triage the queue

New referrals land in a shared queue, unassigned. Picking one up assigns it to you.

  2. 2

    Confirm the urgency

The referring provider suggests a level; your team confirms or changes it.

  3. 3

    Accept and schedule

Book the appointment in the system you already use, then record the date so the referrer can see it.

  4. 4

    Close it out

Mark the patient seen — or record why it didn’t happen. Every step is written to a permanent record.

Four levels. Four clocks.

The referring provider suggests an urgency; the practice confirms or changes it. It’s what the automatic chasing measures against.

  • RedSame day
  • OrangeWithin 24 hours
  • Yellow2–5 days
  • GreenFirst available

The platform stores a colour and a clock — nothing clinical. What earns a red at a cardiology practice has nothing in common with a red at a dermatology practice, so the judgement stays with the clinicians on both ends.

Every status, visible to both sides.

  1. Submitted

Sent on the practice’s own form, with records attached.

  2. In Review

Picked up from the shared queue — which assigns it.

  3. In Progress

Accepted. Questions answered in a thread on the referral.

  4. Scheduled

Appointment booked; the date is visible to the referring office.

  5. Completed

The patient was seen. Closed with a full audit trail.

And when it doesn’t go to plan

  • RejectedThe practice turns it down, with a reason.
  • Closed – Not CompletedIt didn’t happen — a no-show or an unreachable patient, with a reason.
